Frequently Asked Questions

Are drinks provided at a Into The shadows event?
Yes, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and squash are all complimentary at our events.

Is there any food provided?
We provide complimentary light snacks such as crisps and biscuits and for winter events we provide soups. On the sleepover events we will provide a light continental breakfast. You are of course welcome to bring any of your own food or drinks to the event.

Can I get a refund if I don't attend ?
Tickets can be refunded via Eventbrite up to 72 hours before the event however deposits are non-refundable. After this time, if you cannot attend you must contact us as we may be able to transfer your ticket to another event.

What if I get scared?
You may and probably will get scared during the event; this is normal and you are perfectly safe. A member of our team will offer to escort you back to the base room for a short time whilst you recover, then see you safely back to the group again once you feel able to continue.

What if I feel ill or have an accident?
Team members will be available throughout an event, they are trained in first aid and CPR.

How big are the group's and how many attend?
We made a pledge as a company that we won't ever have any more than 30 people ever on an event. We feel that anymore diminishes the experience due to things like noise pollution. We promise to give you the best event possible by keeping our groups small and personal.

Do you have to stay to the end?
No, if you have a prior engagement or have a train etc. to catch you can leave the event at any point. Our team members will guide you to the exit and see you leave safely. We will make sure you have enjoyed your night thus far and ensure you are happy before you leave us.

Am I allowed to bring a camera?
Absolutely!  We fully understand and agree that paranormal activity is exciting and the want to capture this on camera; so go ahead all we ask is that you warn others that you are taking a photo and say 'flash' so as they may look away as you can temporarily blind the others in the room with the flash. Also we ask you gain permission from the others in the room to use a  camera that may capture them on your photo as a data protection and GDPR issue. If you would like to share your photos on this website please feel free to email info@into-the-shadows.co.uk

Can I bring my own equipment with me?
Absolutely!  We fully understand and support you bringing your own kit with you, anything you want to use to investigate please do go ahead.

Are there toilets at the locations?
Yes, all of our locations will have some form of plumbed working toilets available although may not always be the most luxurious. Some of our locations are raw locations and this shows in the facilities - it's all part of  the experience.

Can I have a drink or take anything to settle my nerves?
We have a zero tolerance policy and do not allow any alcohol or drugs to be taken before or during an event. If you are found to be under the influence of alcohol or substance we will immediately ask you to leave the premises. This is both for your safety and the safety and enjoyment of others on the event.

How do you deal with rowdiness?
Some rowdy behaviour is to be expected as people get excited and giddy, however if this is deemed by our team to be of detriment to others on the event you will be gently requested to calm down. If you cause upset or hurt to others you will be asked to leave with no refund given.

How do I receive my tickets?
All tickets are virtual for the events unless you ask us personally to print and post a ticket to you. Posted Tickets will be sent to the address used to book on the website. A week before the event there will be an email sent out with any instructions needed and directions to the venue.
